About Us

Da Capo Academy of Music (DCAM) began as a humble at-home piano studio and opened its doors at Humbertown Shopping Centre in September 2018. Our name comes from the Italian musical term "Da Capo" — meaning "from the beginning" — a direction found throughout sheet music, inviting the musician to return to the top and play a passage anew. It's a fitting name for a place where every student, no matter their age or experience, gets to begin their own musical journey.

At DCAM, we offer both private and group lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, and we prepare aspiring musicians for RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) exams, recitals, auditions, and competitions. Twice a year, students who wish to share their progress have the chance to perform in our recitals — an optional but rewarding opportunity to build confidence and experience the joy of playing for family and friends.

Above all, we are passionate about music, and nothing brings us greater fulfillment than passing that passion on. Whether you're a parent hoping to set your child on a musical path, or an adult who has finally decided to take the leap and learn an instrument, there's a place for you here. At DCAM, it's never too late — and always the right time — to begin from the beginning.
